The Gaza genocide has been worse so far with AI. That was the test run, and now AI is a part of the imperialist war as we see in Iran.
I've said it since the beginning. The investments in AI had nothing to do with LLMs. They are just training platforms. Ofc they can be used for something, but it's a side quest for these scumbags.

The war has been fought and won.
While these - arrival of these technologies in everything, - are aftershocks and not warnings. There was no warning, or, one can say, the warnings were in classical cyberpunk and didn't help.
It's a side quest, yes. It's also a side quest at populating the world with enough powerful hardware fit for these.
AI has been used in wars and weapons for decades. I don't understand why people think it's anything new. Also, recent conflics (as you mention them) would have happened with or without advanced AI weaponry. In some instances they are started by actors that don't have access to AI.

It's because AI is too broad of a term to put onto this.
Yes, some version of AI has existed, but nothing like we see today.
I think reading about Palintir makes the differences obvious.
