Sounds about right for a vibe coded propaganda app.

Why on God's Green would anyone be so fucking dumb as to utilize ANY computer app/program built and operated for the current administration.

Christ on a cracker.. I read through to the last comment - nice touch that there's a Huawei SDK in the mix. Oyyyy!

It's almost too on message, isn't it? If I read it in a comic book, I'd say it was overly predictable. Weaponized ignorance.

There's a lot of that surrounding IT, unfortunately.

Disappointed they didn't embed cryptomining. Leaving money on the table.

Obligatory /s

That’s a big no from me, dawg.

Why would a government-funded app even have adware?? Is the contractor that made the app double-dipping?

foodandart@lemmy.zip · 4 pts · 150d

Probably. Given who the app was made for, should we really expect anything less?

CubitOom@infosec.pub · 1 pts · 150d

I literally have that fascist propaganda on an rss feed. Why the fuck would anyone use an app?

Pattylay@lemmy.world · 0 pts · 150d (4 replies)

It's all cdn, social media, and a sms marketing app. Every expensive app does basically this, so are we supposed to be scared or something? The article doesn't really conclude.

The manifest claims “No Data Collected” so that’s a straight up lie and misrepresentation in the App Store. If this was some poor commoner’s app, they’d be removed from the store and probably banned

Pattylay@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 149d

I see, thanks!

But these major apps are for profit, the wh app should adhere to a higher standard
