Release the files out of spite coward

CubitOom@infosec.pub · 36 pts · 152d (15 replies)

When is her trial?

cattywampas@lemmy.world · 33 pts · 152d (11 replies)

She still has to testify in front of Congress on April 14, we'll start there.

kylie_kraft@lemmy.world · 21 pts · 152d (10 replies)

Does she though? I could see the administration stonewalling by claiming that she no longer represents it in that capacity. I even wonder if ducking her testimony was a primary motive in doing this now.

She was subpoenaed by name, not by title, and just because she is not in the AG role anymore doesn't mean she can't be subpoenaed and legally compelled to appear by Congress. She absolutely still has information Congress has the authority to compel her to provide.

See Hillary and Bill Clinton just a few weeks ago, or Hillary being subpoenaed about Benghazi in 2015, long after she stopped being Secretary of State.

Doesn't mean they won't try though

newthrowaway20@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 145d

Fuckin spot on. Good job.

NekoKoneko@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 152d

I would absolutely expect the GOP to withdraw (or use congressional procedure to effectively withdraw) the subpoena, however.

Angrydeuce@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 151d (2 replies)

If i was her loved ones I would have her on "suicide" watch.

tacosanonymous@mander.xyz · 6 pts · 151d (1 reply)

Hard to believe she has any.

Angrydeuce@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 151d

Yeah my bad, I forgot for a minute that she's disgusting in every single way.

cattywampas@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 152d (1 reply)

Yes she does, the subpoena still applies. But I wouldn't doubt if Trump didn't know that when he fired her.

dejova281@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 152d

Hoping she has an ounce of dignity and humanity and goes scorched earth on Trump et al. during the testimony

artyom@piefed.social · 2 pts · 151d

Honestly don't know what they can do anymore. One would think a convicted felon has to go to prison but instead we made them President.

Wouldn't be surprised if she just refused to go and nothing happened to her.

That was her trial, and she failed to make the pedophile look good...

Oh you mean THAT trial...

Akasazh@lemmy.world · -1 pts · 151d (1 reply)

When is not know yet, but it's location is in Salem.

CubitOom@infosec.pub · 5 pts · 151d

She's not a witch for protecting pedophiles, she's a conspirator.

ThePowerOfGeek@lemmy.world · 22 pts · 152d

BUT THE DOW IS ABOVE 48K!.... Oh nevermind! 😂

grue@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 152d

I can only assume her replacement is going to stonewall releasing the Epstein files even harder.

SarcasticMan@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 152d (1 reply)

She will get a bench in federal court or SCOTUS if Alito or Thomas retire in the next year.

GuyFawkesV@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 151d

That’s Cannon’s seat.

WolfmanEightySix@piefed.social · 5 pts · 151d

Did she threaten to release some files? They have a name I can’t remember …they haven’t been mentioned in a while.
