Alternative win-cons tend to bug me because it's like you and your opponent aren't playing the same game. You're just playing solitaire at the same table. But I think poison counters, and toxic specifically, are the least offensive because you both still care about combat.
But I don't know if that's why you don't like toxic, because you didn't explain anything about your opinion.

It's a great improvement over Infect, imo. Are there perhaps some cards you feel are too pushed?
