Hope everyone had a good and blessed time making their Jesus today for Easter. So glad to set aside our trespasses to celebrate our little lord

Did he escape the navy and church at the same time?

The composition is flattering to the figure. The use of arrayed colored pins directs the viewer's gaze to flow in a smooth arc that allows for one to gain insight into the artist's vision and intent. The stark contrast of the ivory shroud to the backdrop makes a symbolic statement about the detachment of the Jesus from the material world and his purity. The facial expression, added effortlessly but with great talent and skill, gives the viewer a sense of serenity within the Jesus. The addition of a beard confronts the acceptance of western ideals of white-Jesus and this challenges the white-washing of Christian roots.

This is peak high art. 🤌
