E.g a crush on a teacher, someone much older than you, a coworker, maybe even a cousin? A friends' significant other?

A few. I'd say that a huge part of my becoming an adult was a moment in college when I felt one developing, and I said to myself "Come on, man, what are you doing? Are you going to add to the list of people that you've been pining over since high school? You've got to let that go."
It didn't make the attraction go away, but actively working against my own unattainable crush subroutine helped me not carry around the feelings of angst and unresolved desire so much. I haven't really developed another one since those days.

It wasn't exactly unobtainable, but my stepsister did intentionally get naked so I could look at her several times before her mom caught us.
For context, we were like 12 when our parents got married, and both hit puberty around the same time. Nothing more than that ever happened, though.

I mean, she was the 2nd youngest teacher I had. Most of the others were old.. and also she always wore her hair in a messy bun which is my secret weakness x3

If it's a post you want to make I think you should do it. Some people will like it, some won't, it's like that with everything ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

A girl in HS. I was OBSESSED with her. We talked a few times but that was it. Even during college I used to wonder what could have been.

One of my teachers in school. She was a gorgeous redhead and I wanted to have sex with her so bad. I came so many times imagining her making me stay behind after school to fuck her over her desk.

I have a crash with a player from the local team. She plays defense, and she plays amazing! When I watch the match, I look at here more than I follow the game. I don't know if that counts.

At school? A good friend's girlfriend. We were all in an orchestra together - always struck a chord with each other but, alas, taken. There were a couple of these, two of them are married now, so it's funny to look back at that - there's sometimes a "what if" thought but I just enjoy those for what they are as notes from a point in time.
There were a few others who were unobtainable because I was a sheepish and awkward (and religious) young man; a tall redhead south African, a girl from my religious studies class, etc. etc. but that's just being flush with hormones and was certainly just a one-sided crush.
Since then there have been plenty - a girl I interned with after university would have been up for pretty much anything I suspect but at the time I wasn't single. I got.dumoed shortly after so I genuinely regret not seeing where it could have gone.
As an adult? A few colleagues have stirred things in me but I don't put anything into them as far as "expectations" go, and just enjoy the tension without putting anything on it. The best things in life exist in shades of gray, and I'm certainly not getting involved in anyone I work with, or is unavailable.
