My water heater is, by code, on a two-foot high platform. Fortunately, it's in the garage. I had the new water heater delivered. The delivery guy was a scrawny little guy maybe 70 years old. He was game to take it out of the back of his truck alone, and I think he could have done it, but I helped. I felt sorry for the guy, but he seemed happy enough.
I pushed the old heater off the platform and let it crash to the floor, and used my dolly (the one with wheels) to put it at the curb for pick-up.
I built a ramp up to the platform and shoved/rotated/walked the new heater up the ramp into position.
Lmao, that brings back a memory of finding that game on an abandonware site back in the days when windows supported dos games natively and getting confused about why the baby pretty much just appeared on the ground (turbo buttons weren't even a thing anymore, not that I knew at the time that that was the reason they were a thing).
I'm convinced that moving bulky furniture by yourself is one of the best functional workouts you can get, and if we all did it daily from the age of 16 on, we would cut the obesity rate in half
The worst combination ever: i'm this person, but my job requires asking people to do things with me... Even worse, one of them gives me shit occasionally. Like motherfucker I don't like having to ask anyone for anything, please stop being a pain...

There are very few tasks requiring a second person that can't be completed with simple engineering instead.

See agricultural upgrades for evidence. Instead of 80% of us doing it, cut maybe 15 out of 16 people perhaps.

manufacturing, anything done at scale will have little to no human interaction aside from people monitoring the machines.

Welp, looks like I'm paying a professional to do it

Nah, that's just for cowards. "Two people required for assembly" just means that there's gonna be a couple of tricky parts.

This is the reason I bought a dolly.

It’s cruel to rest a couch on the back of a sheep
