How the fuck does US political governance allow people to fund self interests so very overtly?

Free Speech, baybeee.

And yes, spending money counts as speaking.

Other parts of the world have that governance in place to allow scrutiny and if needed, take action for not meeting those governance requirements. No impairment to free speech. Just intends to prevent perversion of decision making.

LOL Of course this bastard would try to worm his way out of liability. As LLMs cannot be held responsible for any actions, since these hallucination engines cannot think or feel. However, OpenAI can and should be held liable when their product is directly responsible for causing something horrible to happen on both a small and critical scale. If they can create the "tech" they can accept responsibility when the shit goes south and causes a lot of destruction/loss of life.

Of course they do. Line must go up.

Lives, you say? I don't think you understand how the economy works.

I hope Sam realizes humanity will remember him as just evil. I really hope they learn that before it’s too late

I wonder if that's true. Two generations after his death, people are likely to remember the brands and buildings that still bear his name and assume he was a Good Guy.

In the same way that people do with, say, Edison, Ford and Rockefeller today. Rather than as the monstrous pieces of shit they were.

There must be only one reason so many people are willing to endorse his absolute bullshit: greed
