I did it anyway. Now that my breath is almost back to even I have to walk a few more kilometers back home.

Now the real questions are how long did it take, and which direction did you go? What if you did all this and it turns out you only ran 2.499 km?!?!?!?! Eratosthenes is looking at you disapprovingly.

You're right, these questions need answers. In the spirit of rigorous experimentation I'll have to run the lap twice the next time I'm there, and then double the amount every time after... I'll let you know the measurements after 50 runs, that should be enough data to build a robust foundation.
