In case anyone doesn't know, Bluesky has been fighting a powerful DDoS attack all day long today. It is suspected to be orchestrated by a state actor, possibly Iran.
Isn't Bluesky like the most pro-Iran social media site besides some Mastodon instance at this point? Seems counterproductive to silence your biggest megaphone.
even if this were true, the group doing this isn’t rewarding sympathizers, they’re just carpet-bombing high-visibility Western targets - they’ve hit Truth Social, Reddit, Internet Archive, Microsoft 365, and now Bluesky. these guys aren’t sitting there reading Bluesky’s moderation policy like “hmm, actually, their stance on Palestinian content is nuanced, let’s move on”
A bunch of radlibs being annoyed at gas prices going up doesn't make Bluesky Iran's "megaphone." To whatever extent Iran would have a preferred way of disseminating narratives among Western internet users, networks on Telegram are definitely 1000x more important than the site for people who wanted to keep using twitter but were embarrassed by Elon owning it.

Iran already blocked their own people from internet. They do to further to just silence Iranians abroad?

Who cares? Bluesky is just another centralized service, so enjoy censorship and unfair treatment.
