That poor peacock gudgeon looks so confused about why they can't also eat the worms. Straight up staring at them through the glass of the feeding dish 😂

All of them eventually figure it out! This fish has a mesh bottom so I think it throws off their sense of smell a bit.

What kind of worms are those and are they in a substrate in the feeding dish?

White worms. I recently started a culture of them. They're terrestrial worms, so they're cleaned and sitting in a feeder dish. They'll live a few hours in the water.

Edit: Enchytraeus, probably albidus
