These are used for joining together pieces of wood, usually for furniture. Don’t eat ‘em.

Source: am carpenter.

pastermil@sh.itjust.works · 20 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Then why are they called biscuits??

Cruxifux@lemmy.world · 24 pts · 2y

Because they look like biscuits. The tool you use to cut in the holes you use to put them in is literally called a biscuit joiner.

Also they’re delicious. But don’t fuckin’ eat em.

AnUnusualRelic@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y

Oh. Well, at least they won't crumble in my coffee.

Saw these in a hardware store the other day and really wanted to try one. Someone should bring them into their office and see if people will eat them

Slowy@lemmy.world · 13 pts · 2y (2 replies)

I would since I thought this was some kind of food until reading your comment (though it would be a bit overpriced for what looks like terrible cookies)

Mothra@mander.xyz · 6 pts · 2y

I would totally fall for it

You can always sit on a street corner with some and try handing them out to strangers saying "body of Christ."

panics in communion

ChlorineAddict@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y

Don’t forget the welch’s grape juice shooters

danwardvs@sh.itjust.works · 12 pts · 2y (1 reply)

The picture on the package looks just like a stroopwafel.

ComfyMuffin@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y

I'll bet they have caramel on the inside, eh?

jtmetcalfe@lemmy.sdf.org · 11 pts · 2y

You have to let it soften first by placing it over a warm cup of tea

guyrocket@kbin.social · 6 pts · 2y

I recognize a Menards price tag when I see one.

tipicaldik@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 2y (1 reply)

They taste just like those little wooden spoons we'd get with our ice cream cups

ComfyMuffin@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y

Universal memory

Blastasaurus@lemm.ee · 5 pts · 2y

Man they're dark, I thought they were actual biscuits for a second, and I'm a carpenter.

clearedtoland@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 2y

When someone says something tastes like cardboard, give them one of these…

sagrotan@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y

Awful packaging, tons of plastic.

idunnololz@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Wtf type of price is 6.65.

AnUnusualRelic@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y

6 local currency units plus 65 hundredths of one local currency unit. Looks fine to me.

Sho@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y

This gives mad "bachelor chow" vibes

SonicBlue03@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 2y

They're also not as crispy as you'd expect a wafer to be.

llama_spit@lemm.ee · 2 pts · 2y

Plumbing, electrical, appliances too...

Etterra@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y

What the hell kind of biscuits are these wafer cookie rejects? Dog biscuits?

terminhell@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 2y

They look like dog snacks...

ThrowawayPermanente@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 2y

Anything above #12 is basically garbage. #6 is where it's at with these.
