See if you have quick resume or a similar setting in the bios and turn it off. It keeps a bunch of things powered up in sleep mode. Helped me a lot in making sleep mode actually useful
Yes, I ordered everything separately: I ordered the PCB from JLPCB and the other components from Aliexpress. I had switches and keycaps ordered previously from Aliexpress
I think there's definitely an element of bling, but there is practical utility as well. I spend 8h+ at the computer, I want it to be as comfortable as possible.

I felt the same way but I have been using an ergodox for a while, so I already don't have a numpad which I didn't miss. I recently modified my ergodox firmware to map only 44 keys and removed the rest, similar to this layout. It is an interesting concept and I can appreciate how little I have to move my hands now. I don't miss the number row or function row, those were easy enough to get used to, but some of the missing symbols are harder to get used to. I want to try a few more changes before I decide if I like the smaller keyboards better or just want the standard keys back

The ones in the picture are rated for 32A which is way more than the typical 15A or 20A circuit
http://site.com isn't a valid host name, DNS won't resolve it. DNS does not understand protocol, it's taking your whole query as the hostname

Yeah its a great keyboard at a great price point. none of the frills that are essentially pointless to me, but does what it does very well.
Are there any capacitors on the other side because I don't see any here. Quite likely just corrosion on exposed copper, should be harmless
