Are kids trading stickers in Canada?

In Japan, sticker trading is all the rage amongst kids. Is this a localised trend, or are kids overseas taking part in this phenomenon too? I used to sorta do it back in the 90s in Canada but it wasn't really about trading, and I don't think any of my friends did it. Anyone with kids know?

My kids are 3 and 6, and I haven't heard or seen anything to suggest it's a trend where I live.

Thanks! I wanted to send a few sheets of stickers in a care package to my nephews, but if it's not a thing I'd rather buy them snacks.

To be fair, my kids still love stickers. It's just not a social/trading thing.

This was big in, like, 1985 or so where I live. (Edit: collecting, not trading.) Nothing since then that I'm aware about.

Right? I think the only thing I remember trading were Pogs, MtG and Pokemon cards. Thanks for the info!
