Did anyone else use to think Singapore was a backwards crime-haven as a kid because they watched Pirates of the Carribean 3?

I probably had weird mental images of far away places too when I was a very young kid (and longer - I honestly thought Kasachstan was one of the many made up -stan countries until Borat). But I also wasn't entirely sure for a while that a white horse with multicoloured mane and tail COULDN'T run on a rainbow 🤷‍♀️
