Veg-Tan Side

I recently ordered some 4-5 oz leather and it came in a few days ago. This a side, which is one full side of a cow.

I will be making a few minimal wallets and notebooks to begin with. I think I'll need to order a leather splitter since this is slightly too thick for a lot of smaller items.

I will eventually make a weekender duffle but will probably purchase another side for that.

Where did you source your side?

I bought this one at Tandy online. There's a physical store about a 45 minute drive from my location. Just in case something was wrong with this one, I could possibly have it resolved in store.

Tandy online

It's weird that this better describes a place that sells leather than it does my first computer (which didn't have Internet access).

::: spoiler spoiler

Tandy used to own Radio Shack and manufacture computers. My first computer was a Tandy 1000 RLX/HD.

Thinking about this kinda makes me want to make a leather mouse mat to go with the Tandy keyboard I still have. :::

The head is the bottom left with the back on the left and the belly on the right.
