The boy kibble post earlier this week inspired me to make some Bachelor Chow tonight.
Ground beef, sautéed in lard, deglazed with a mixture of soy, chinkiang vinegar, dry sherry, and sesame oil. Onion, carrot, celery, and jalapeño, sautéed in lard, seasoned with salt, pepper, MSG and deglazed with vermouth. Both cooked separately, then combined over heat for about 60 sec before serving.

Also, good to see two meals with MSG in them posted on the same day.

Yeah, almost every time I sautée up some onions (which is most meals) I’m adding a dash or 2 of MSG

I love when one post inspires another. Even if it starts with boy kibble.

"boy kibble" and "bachelor chow" lol I love it. I cook stuff like this in big batches and just eat the leftovers over time, a few spoonfuls (or meatballs) at a time. Me and my son call this "ADHD snacks" because if I don't have something quick and easy to eat, I'm likely not going to eat at all.

I tend to eat pretty low carb, but I did have some leftover brown rice I heated up to go with my wife’s portion.
