Minimum wage where I live is $16.80 an hour, so at 40 hours a week that's $672 a week, so that's $34,944 a year or $2,912 a month.
So potentially, yeah, if they make $3,000 a month and send you $2,000, that could be significant.
OTOH, at my peak I was pulling down $12,000 a month, so your mileage may vary!
