I think we are at the late stage of society that people need to experience pain to remember why we have these laws.

It's the same as vaccines, though: many of the victims will be children that have the bad decisions made on their behalf.

I mean, its not FAIR, but there is a portion of our population that maybe doesn't need to have quite as many children.

I agree, but sickening or maiming the children once they're already here doesn't seem like the best solution.

Certainly. We should be putting them into schools that turn them into decent humans, but the idiots got wise to that.
