Within reason. It needs to be protected from those who would destroy it, those who would loot it, those who would vandalize it and nature itself from eroding it.

It is the first known permanent city, it is a monumental thing.

From the ongoing excavations, last I heard is that they found each dwelling had its own store of foraged wild grains
