Seattle is a mess and Spokane is worse.

Why would we want an inferior copy of Vancouver and of Kelowna?

Americans have always been cattle.

They were tricked by the ruling elitebefpre and during the US revolution into falsely hating the UK because the elite were about to face laws that made their abuse plain to see (stamp act) and would have legalized the current borders as the extent of the US.

They bought into the concept of Manifest Destiny as sold by US elites, invading Canada multiple times.

They didn't enter WW2 because their companies were literally supplying the nazis.

They never protested the abuses of humanity by Kissinger et al, just that the Vietnam war needed to stop.

The "balance to the force" was misread by the Jedi council as meaning a complete Jedi victory over the Sith. Even in the first and second movies, Yoda and Windu both express doubts about the accuracy of the prophecy.

What a more pragmatic view would be is that a the force wanted a new type of force wielder philosophy where emotions don't rule over you(what the Sith ended as) but also one where emotion and connection are allowed to exist(what the Jedi outlawed.)

To that end, pre-Disney Luke and his academy were that new force wielder academy. One could argue that prequels Anakin struggled to meet that balance and his rebuff by the Jedi masters led to him being manipulated by Palpatine.

It doesnt need to be more popular.

IMO, thinking like that is one of the problems of the internet that led to google, amazon and the other tech giants that functionally own access to the internet now outside of small places like this.

If you want to see more content, set up some RSS feeds to news sites and join discords for memes and repost them here.

The reality is that basically nothing was known about the virus even in the middle of 2020, and I suspect from what I've seen of conservative slop that would be the point of their questioning. Using the current knowledge to point out how wrong a lot of the early information was.

Which is basically creationism arguments 101.

They were afraid of consequences when Dubya took office more than 25 years ago.

Hell, its why Clinton, who helped set it up never asked Congress/Senate to ratify joining.

Then Dubya came along and insisted on full immunity for the US as a condition for joining.

Additionally, the same logic is why China isnt a member of the ICC, although they at least pretend to be friendly to it.

The problem is that he added a secret, undocumented list that was only added when you were running the program that only he maintained.

If you were on an affected server, it gave an incompatible server message. If you were an affected user, it just hid you completely.

He went to extreme lengths to try and avoid this being discovered.

He seriously compromised the fundamental nature and trust of the entire activitypub project sphere.
