Washington (United States) (AFP) – US President Donald Trump said Monday that negotiations with Iran were ongoing despite Tehran's denials and the Islamic Republic was facing a "last chance before decapitation."
Trump, speaking to reporters at the White House, said he agreed to continue to pursue talks with Iran at the request of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and other countries.
Iran's foreign ministry denied on Monday that negotiations with Washington were taking place, but Trump insisted they were. "We are talking right now," he said.
"This is a last chance for them to sign a good document," the US president added. "I want to give them every last chance before decapitation."
The talks are focused on reopening the Strait of Hormuz, which Trump said could come "literally by tomorrow," and the denuclearization of Iran, which he said could "take a little while."
Washington and Tehran have been at war since February 28, when the United States and Israel launched surprise strikes against Iran, though months of on-and-off diplomacy have led to periods of relative calm.
More than five months later, Iran remains able to fire missiles and drones at US and allied targets in the region and retains its enriched uranium stockpiles.
In what has become a familiar pattern, Trump last week had threatened to hit Iran "very hard" -- potentially with renewed attacks against energy infrastructure -- only to pull back on Saturday, saying the "perimeters" of a deal were there.
Iran, for its part, said it is not currently negotiating with the United States.
"Our negotiations are with Oman to secure passage through the Strait of Hormuz," the critical oil corridor, foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said.

I said this close to a year ago, but I have a feeling the world will allow “one free nuke” to whoever launches it first, whether it be the US, Russia or Israel. After that there will be a severe backlash, but that one will be met with a lot of hand ringing and harsh rebukes, but no actual intervention.
The rule of international law is over, only the rule of power between countries remains.

Americans have always been cattle.
They were tricked by the ruling elitebefpre and during the US revolution into falsely hating the UK because the elite were about to face laws that made their abuse plain to see (stamp act) and would have legalized the current borders as the extent of the US.
They bought into the concept of Manifest Destiny as sold by US elites, invading Canada multiple times.
They didn't enter WW2 because their companies were literally supplying the nazis.
They never protested the abuses of humanity by Kissinger et al, just that the Vietnam war needed to stop.

Sad truth is I don't think it'll matter. The American hegemony is collapsing as we hand endless money to billionaires for AI. Regardless, we'll probably end up in some sort of dystopian surveillance aristocracy globally where we're still taught our problems are caused by some lesser class.

I honestly think if Trump actually goes there first will be shocked that the line was genuinely crossed, but then followed by a real invasion because yeah using that WMD in particular means diplomacy is off the table now.
(Question though will Russia consider it a green light to use their own arsenal.)

I genuinely doubt it. They'd appear as a more sane and stable country to not do the same. For the US to use one against Iran would likely be viewed internationally as desperation by a failed collapsing empire. It would likely cause a major global depression as well.

Investigation occurred, was found there was no collusion and that she wasn't a Russian asset. But because Kamala Cheney, so enraged that Jill Stein didn't hate Palestinian children and want to kill them like her, funded an attack add without any evidence that you're repeating to this very day. I mean it's irrelevant. Jill Stein is a magician (a bad one) that magically appears before every election, siphons votes away from candidates that can actually win, then magically disappears again after the election. She doesn't accomplish anything of value.
Anyone that voted for her is an idiot. Why? Because she got more votes than any other 3rd party candidate and she still only got a fraction of a single percent of the total votes cast. Meaning she never stood a snowball's chance in hell of winning. And anyone voting for someone that absolutely cannot win, and thus cannot accomplish anything at all for America, is a fool.

Ok, you got me. I should have been clearer. Anyone voting 3rd party for the presidency is a fucking idiot. If someone wants to vote 3rd party in a local/state election, more power to them. Do that. Help build up a 3rd party so that some day in the distant future, probably not in our lifetimes, a 3rd party candidate can maybe have a shot at the presidency. But if you are currently voting 3rd party for president, you are among the dumbest humans to ever exist on this planet.
