Various project in my spare time, and I would like to keep up with the tooling and models. I find a lot of use for it in my spare time, and find it interesting to experiment and learn. I know a lot of people are super skeptical. It does not live up to the hype, but it is genuinely useful for me. I find that adding very strict guardrails makes them perform quite well, and be useful.
I’m happy to chat, if you want to set something up. I can’t square the morality of using it with the necessity of using it to keep earning money to live, so I do the staying alive thing and hope I can address the moral and environmental issues when I have more resources.

Probably not on Lemmy. Lemmy is very anti-AI. What are you working on?

I'd head over to db0's instance, they're more pro AI than the others. You'll get nothing but downvotes on .world.
Personally I may not like it, I may be against it, but as someone who wishes to remain employed for the forseeable future, I have to be good at it.

You can use lemmyverse to browse around, there are at least a few communities that exist. e.g.
https://lemmyverse.net/communities?query=artificial
https://lemmyverse.net/communities?query=llm
https://lemmyverse.net/communities?query=llama
etc.
I'm a bit curious about people's setups for self hosting LLMs so sometimes I browse !localllama@sh.itjust.works for example.

Go to the nearest landfill. You will be surrounded with things of equal value to your code.
