Sucks to be US troops stationed in the Middle East during the temper tantrums. They now have longer and much more expensive logistics supply. Supply that is about to get throttled due to rising Jet fuel and strained due to lack of US Naval investment in merchant Marines.
USA's military industrial complex has focused on high profit complex machines, with rare earth elements that came from China. The complexity doesn't help with the churning. And China isn't exporting the elements anymore. Who knew that starting a trade war would have consequences. Setting up replacements is going to limit production for a long time.
