And people are doing that. HVAC installers are booked solid until the end of the year. It just really started from 2000 here where it was ramping up. Before 2010 we never reached 40°C. It took some time for people to confirm it was not a fluke and it really is changing rapidly. Europe is at 2.3°C warming now, so it's going hard the last few years.

We had those for child care. Then government added additional regulations for safety after some incidents, and a lot of them quit because the additional costs made it not worth it anymore. Now the government complains about a shortage of child care places.

I bet those guys could tell tales that would make a modern sailor blush. It's what people do without tv. Some of the stuff was written down if you want to look it up. Those stories like the ones the Brothers Grimm wrote down? Those first versions were pure smut and gore, and only became children's stories after a few rounds of heavy cutting and editing.

But then you'd see the pencil being shorter, but adding that is too long for a quip.

Remind me of the classic: "There are two types of people on the world, those who can extrapolate from incomplete information."

We'll be respectful with his classic lines:

"I could say that he was an ugly SOB. I could say he was a pedofilie. It might even be true. But I'm not going to. I'm being respectful."

For me, that was looking for what was driving the events on the news. Otherwise the news is just a series of bad events without rhyme or reason.

They know. Margins on oil are bigger. When oil price goes up, charge customers more immediately and slowly lower them is a classic for a reason. But when you build a solar park, someone invents cheaper panels.

Luckily they're not the only people in the energy sector.

1.5°C Threshold Could Be Exceeded Before 2030

Come to Europe one of these days. We're at 2.3°C.. Come and see our cities getting closer to temperatures of Phoenix, or the many forest fires, the droughts, powerplants shutting down because of a lack of water, transportation issues. The idiots saying more CO2 being good for plants can ask the farmers how things are going. We're not having a good summer.

“The intent is that the user will turn in their device every 12 to 36 months because they intend to upgrade regardless.”

No, I get a new device because I've broken the last one. The ones I give back, you can't sell on the secondary market which is their intent.
