Was told on Typewriters@lemmy.cafe to post my Olivetti here

This is an 80s Olivetti I found in a thrift store and purchased for 10€. Its fully functioning and a pure joy to write on. Just listen to that daisywheel slapping that paper.

That's pretty cool find!

Sounds like my colleague in office

Really good find for 10 euro, the condition looks very good too

How delightful! Does that have MX switches or something more exotic? Either way I love to see it!

Have not dared to remove any keys to look. But its very pleasant to type on. Like a softer & thinner version of the keyboard on my IBM 5155

All olivetti switches are safe to remove key caps from by just pulling straight up, I use bent paperclips but you can pry them up with a butter knife underneath too. A picture of the switch underneath the key cap would probably be enough for me to identify the switch.

Outstanding IBM board there! Lugables are so cute and having a full powered model F capacitive buckling spring keyboard attached is just gravy!

What's wrong with a keycap puller?

Here you go!

Oh nice! Big thick double shot key caps with rubber domes. That probably has a delightful sound to it!

Indeed it does!

I will take a picture for you when I get home from work. So in about 6 hours.

Wow it sounds wonderful but personally I would not dare to write on a typewriter due to the amount of errors I do typing in real time. I would be more annoyed than anything else (and on this short comment I got the autocorrect around 5 times... Brilliant)

Damn what a beautiful little macine
