Police appear to be something of a problem. Might be better to have no police than to have easily usurped police. Hell, slit the police force up based on tasks and don't have the group that is happy to "forcibly broke up protest" (keep the "investigate my murder" cops as they are doing a great job).

Come on man! He should have raised an army like the strategy games I play and fucked them up. There is nothing else to consider, only direct military confrontation will work and there will be no consequences.

100 days into his tenure, Mamdani backtracked on key promises by keeping Adams-era Commissioner Jessica Tisch
He also walked back his pledge to abolish the NYPD gang database
He slow-rolled a promise to disband the Strategic Response Group
At day 49-day he DID cancel 5,000 new officers (great!) but also didn't cut the NYPD budget, like he said would
Most recently he just gave the same rhetoric all liberal mayors are giving in claiming their police aren't working with ICE when they most certainly are

Seriously though, do you expect him to just go and fire the cop directly? That's not his job. Gut the NYPD until it happens? Great, new problems. This is a tough place and clearly you don't remember when people before Adams.
