I'll never forget when I visited a friend that lives a bit out of town. That summer he literally had thousands of them on his property. You couldn't take a step without them being in your way. I've never seen that many at once, truly wild.
I experienced something like this the other day! I was going into my garden when I noticed movement at my feet. The teeniest tiniest little mantis I’ve ever seen was scooting by on the concrete. I scooped it up in a cup to move it to the garden and it crawled out of the cup just as I got to the right spot. It floated like a feather as it fell into my garden.
It was just the one though. I squeed really loud from excitement and immediately thought of your comment lol

Ridiculously tiny, it’s sitting on a tomato plant leaf and the hairy thing in front is the top of a barely starting tomato.
