I’m 42 and I’ve been hearing “you would look so much prettier if you smiled more” since I was a veryyoung teen, often by men old enough to be my grandfather. I used to comply, now I give them the middle finger because I don’t owe anyone a smile.
I also learned how to cut with right handed scissors in my left hand, just have to squeeze the blades differently. I would end up with pain in my fingers doing that until I recently purchased a pair of proper lefty scissors. Now I can cut things pain free. Total game changer!
My left handed partner is like you, he just learned to cut righty. He won’t use my lefty scissors lol
Thought I’d have some thoughts on this. The author reminds me of my mother, who was very anti porn to the point she almost kicked me out of the house when she found it on my computer in my early 20s.
If the feminist wants to see results toward a more just and equal society, he/she must admit that any and all depictions of women engaged in pornography are harmful to society. They must admit that hedonistic depictions of human beings can have negative effects.
I do not disagree that there are aspects of porn that are harmful to society, but humans are still animals and most of us like to fuck. That’s just human nature. Many also like to watch people fuck, also human nature. I also do not like his opinion on women being depicted as submissive being only negative. Some of us ladies enjoy being submissive and find respectful men or women or nonbinary partners to assist with this. Not all submission or hedonism is bad. Some of us like kinky shit and that’s ok!
This dude needs to broaden his horizons and watch different types of porn because it doesn’t seem like he’s watched much.

Oh boy! So I came across a recent photo on social media of an ex who broke my heart 15 years ago. He looks like absolute shit now! Meanwhile, I may have a couple of fine lines and a few grays, but I look relatively the same and I’m in better shape than I was back then.
I know it shouldn’t, but it gave me such a massive boost in confidence because I’ve aged much more gracefully than he did. Serves him right for being a lying cheating dick! 😊

The Jules and Bun trilogy are a lot of fun. Definitely more cozy murder mystery. Anyone who knows rabbits will immediately recognize the behavior that the author describes lol
Wayward Pines is one I have not read, but I do own it. If I see you add it to your post, I’ll start it too! I like to read his books as vacation books or if I need something that hooks my interest quickly and is fast paced. Famous was a good one that I just finished that a few weeks ago. He’s an author I like to recommend to folks who aren’t super into scifi but want a quick and absorbing read. Every time I recommend Dark Matter to someone, they always love it. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
Currently reading Hop ‘Til You Drop by J.M. Griffin. It’s the third in a cozy murder mystery about a woman who runs a rabbit rescue and helps police solve murders with her telepathic bunny named Bun. I’m sad there aren’t more because I love Bun and the way the author describes rabbit behavior is so accurate, all the way down to the snarky attitudes they get 🤣
Dark Matter was my first Blake Crouch book. I’ve now read 5 of his books and he is an author I will automatically purchase books from when I see them. I love his stuff!
Yes! I have a couple of those, the super stretchy material that doesn’t hold shape. I usually wear them around the house, those pockets are good for holding a lighter or other bits and bobs I keep on hand when I’m home.
