“Under attack” from social media posts, where famously everyone is real and there are no paid influence campaigns from fake accounts sponsored by vested interests.

Best thing is, the internet garbage ain't the real world. In the real world, money talks. Wind energy is by far the best and cheapest way, to scale energy. The wind is blowing day and night, the sun isn't shining. Solar energy is great in sunny states but in the far North and South, where there is short days and nasty weather 200 days of the year wind is by far the most preferable. There is a lot of places around the European continent, where the wind is blowing 95% of the time.

There are better ways still, using natural temperature differences to boil a medium whose boiling point is in that range and run turbines, harnessing free electricity. The US navy has long had a version of this, boiling ammonia in tropical waters at 80 degrees on the surface and cooling it at 60 degrees a ways down.
Made by Halliburton of all companies, that makes a lot of oil drilling equipment.

ok ok i know winds really popular nowdays but we haven't asked ourselves the real questions yet.
how will the poor wittle energy companies find a way to monopolise the wind and jack up prices huh? huh? what's gonna boost their revenue when they drop to blegh single digit billions? we can't have that! think of the poor astmathic children! their numbers will decrese dramatically when we stop poisining the air!! they'll be lonely :(

They will monopolize it by getting all the prime off-shore artificial islands and real estates where wind can be harvested most efficiently.

How much of that renewable energy is hydropower? And how much does that damage the natural ecosystems and salmon runs?
