Krita is a fantastic name for a KDE drawing app if you speak Swedish. Krita means crayon, and traditionally KDE apps were prefixed with a "k", also Rita means to draw.
That's a nice high horse you've got there. It sounds like you've never had to make a hard choice in your life, where there are only bad options to choose from. I don't know if that's the case, but you make it sound like it. What were the options available to Amnesty? Do you think they pulled the report just to be nice to the anti-trans people? Retreating and regrouping isn't always a bad strategy.
Does it suck that the report was pulled? Yes. Do I like that Amnesty was censored? Hell no.
I'm guessing that the report will be released again, in some time, when their legal team has had a look at it and made sure it's legally safe to release. In the mean time, do spread the word, not that Amnesty is bad, but that Rowling and the anti-trans people are censoring an organisation that's been a force for good for the last 65+ years.
Even parts is kind of a problem though. I had an expensive appliance break and the service guys told me that the part I needed wasn't available anymore.
So forcing companies to keep spare parts a number of years after the product goes out of service should be law.
Cheap things 1-3 years, expensive things 15-20 years.
Or force them to open source the full specs so that 3rd parties can make the part.
Yes you can. Especially since they're not aiding and abetting, just bending to them, probably temporarily.
Sometimes you have to be strategic and compromise, no matter how much it sucks. We know Amnesty generally does good, so it's unlikely that they're doing this latest thing just for shits and giggles.
Since magic earth went freemium and started charging for the useful bit of it I'm waiting for an alternative. ME was closed source, but I was willing to overlook that since it at least wasn't google.
Basically I want a libre version of Waze not owned by Google.
Extra sweet if they could save the traffic data in an open format on a platform where volunteers could pool resources, like IPFS or Hyphanet or something like that.
Yeah, whenever there's a practical choice, I'm picking non-American. I'm also bringing up relying on US tech at work, but moving people away from AWS/Azure/GCP is a Herculian task.

Isn't the java implementation the reference?
I use both, but for different purposes.

Don't let perfect be the enemy of good. Amnesty still has my support. Focus on the real villains instead.
No idea why you need your parents details on YOUR id-card.

Yeah, I don't edit the headline. It comes right from the source, so if it's different then they changed it.

I thought tories wanted the navy to shoot at foreigners in small boats?
Very weird, what's the point with EU standards if you can just choose to ignore them?
Alright, just an idea. Will check it out when I get back to my computer.
Any idea of integrating it into I2P? Being able to torrent files anonymously would be nice maybe?
Then we hope for a speedy arrest and a lengthy prison sentence including de-radicalization therapy.
Does that have live traffic data and people reporting obstacles and traffic and such?
Seems they've released a name but not caught him yet.

I think the issue with that was running webrtc under i2p, but I don't know enough about it to comment any further.
