When it comes to defence a) much of Europe is already working together while b) the EU also can't get its act together on a shared defence.
I am pro Iceland and Norway joining the EU but when it comes to defence I am not sure it particularly matters (for many other things it absolutely does however).

Please join. Europe needs to be united for the upcoming Arctic war with Russia, China and the US.
