i think it's a pretty defining feature of all rodents to have the polar opposite to claustrophobia, they love hiding in tiny crevices to hide from predators.

what i can't wrap my head around is why anyone would want to decapitate rats??? Surely that's incredibly messy and needlessly traumatizing???

SURELY the sensible option would be a tiny execution gun like they use for livestock? That's minimally messy and instantly terminates brain function.
