Mine is that since the US is turning more and and more into a scam economy, the problem then becomes that they'll eventually run out of other people's money.
The Soviet Union on the other hand had a near unsolvable fossil fuel issue crippling their economy.

You’ll have to wait months to see a doctor!
My man, I live in a capitalist hellscape. That’s explicitly the reason why it takes forever to see a doctor. Care is secondary to extortion of maximum profit.

Corollary to this is the "I want to be able to choose my doctor" line. If there's only one health insurance provider, then every doctor will have to accept it, ergo you get more choice in your doctor

Also I never understood the hype for "choosing your own doctor". I dont know any of them. The only way I'd be choosing a doctor is if I could see stats of how many recoveries they've been responsible for, which will force doctors to try and game the system and refuse to accept patients who might need real help. Which would be me at that point.

I sure am glad I have the freedom to hunt through several arcane websites search functions to find a doctor that's i think looks good based off no information other than that they have an MD and practice primary care, only to book an appointment for 6 months later, at which point they cancel my appointment because they realize that my plan is slightly different than they thought.

Depends on profession and location. I live in a major metro area. Pediatrician? Same day if it's urgent. ENT? 6 months.

Canadian conservatives talking about "Soviet style bread lines" in response to Avi Lewis proposing public grocery stores, while there are literal bread lines at food banks.

They could argue that those are just "Anglo style bread lines",
where the conservatives are starving its citizens by default
instead of their government demanding farm produce
from large farm owners being handed over to them to feed the poor
and the large farm owners refusing to do so and create a standoff,
while keeping all the food to themselves.
