Is there any actual open mesh setup that's viable in the US?

Not proprietary LoRa meshtastic

Not proprietary LoRa meshcore

Not proprietary LoRa version of Reticulum

Not whatever the trash RNode_Halow_Firmware thing was I saw on GitHub that mentioned a fucking .exe in the readme and nothing about Linux

Not children's toy openMANET with zero prevention of IP address collisions

Something real, for adults

If you find anything I would love to know. I really thought reticulum had potential, since in theory it is hardware agnostic, but I am not sure I have ever seen an open source project that so openly despises its users. Didn't help that there are glaring bugs, and no way to report them anymore, nor any interest in even acknowledging issues from the project. There will never be any serious contribution to growing that project the way it is currently run. Closest I have found is Gnunet, but that is a long way from being usable - after 20+ years. So, my hopes aren't high.
