The black cat returned yesterday after a few weeks of not seeing him and heโs looking a lot healthier. The bald patches are gone so hopefully heโs been treated, the fur is starting to grow back a bit under his chin so maybe theyโre using the spot ons, and the fur on his body is thick and shiny so looks like theyโve been giving him the higher quality food I left them.
He was dancing and jumping up on things, I got three tail hugs in the 20 minutes I spent fussing him. But he hissed and whopped me for touching his upper back. Fingers crossed this new soreness means he got vaccinated or even a new microchip (because heโd been showing as โno tagโ on two different microchip scanners - forgot to tell them). Maybe that explains the limp he had a few weeks ago.
He was asking to be fed and to be let inside but Iโve told him the food is at home with his owners, and that he canโt go in. I also showered and washed my clothes after just in case.
Itโs a relief to not be fully responsible for him and see signs that heโs okay. Thatโs all I wanted. Iโll pat him when I see him but will probably continue to focus on myself getting rest and sleep because I am knackered.
I just realised there are only 4 pays left until the new financial year. How does time pass so quickly? I need to start counting my tax-return eggs so I'm ready when they hatch...
Ever wanted to go on a combi camping trip in a utopia? Well, Outbound is that game.
It is a chill af survival game, single or multiplayer (I'm playing single player because partner's PC is too fronkensteen to run it), and it's great. Slow paced, no enemies, no stress, and a friendly dog companion (obtained in the second area). Just collect resources, find collectibles, appreciate the tranquility, and upgrade the combi base building. There are some simple skill trees (one for the van, of for yourself, and one for the dog companion).
I haven't made it past map 2 yet, and I certainly didn't find all the gnomes or cairns in the first map. It's just a fucking chill as game. Devs are updating constantly with qol and content (fishing and fish tanks, more wildlife, and NPCs are coming this year. It is early access but I've slapped a solid 20 hours into it since it released this week. Bit exxy for an early access, but I personally found it worth it so far.
Edit: my specs are
Intel i5-9400f
8gb ram
GTX 1050ti (holy shit installing the latest legacy security driver for this was PAINFUL)
It really is! Very peaceful and cosy! The lighting makes the world look absolutely stunning at dawn and dusk, and I stg they recorded actual thunder and lightning or something because of boy does it sound real lol
8.5/10 for an early access game, knocked points off because the world can feel a little bit empty, but from the Devs roadmap that will be rectified during the updates this year.
There seems to be a vague goal of meeting everyone at a festival, however I'm not sure if that's just placeholder as NPCs are yet to be added.
Other than that, you travel around the map repairing some points of interest (eg, a windmill, a lighthouse, etc), and survive off the land. Gather resources for upgrading gear and base and tools, can feel a tad repetitive going around but it's offset by the serene vistas and interesting landscapes. There always seems to be something off in the distance that looks interesting and can be checked out. Tbh I haven't played rv there yet. I just played the demo for outbound like 2 weeks ago and bought the game based off that loool
Sounds like RV There Yet could be the spiritual sequel to Outbound. Outbound is about enjoying your holiday, RV There Yet is about the nightmare trip home
I may have gotten a touch annoyed about the open ended questions on the RACV survey and been a touch cheeky with my answers. But really, why can't they just ask if I'm happy with the service instead of 'how likely are you to recommend us'. And then to demand reasons!
I told them I was happy with the service but unlikely to start an RACV fan club. I also told them the telephone operator was a touch robotic, (because I didn't actually speak to a live person).
Watched the Netflix show Should I Marry a Murderer? Title is a bit misleading but itโs a crazy story that had me binge it all in one day. The fiancรฉ is very articulate describing her headspace through the events, even though many time she says people will wonder why she did what she did. Worth a watch if you like true crime stories.

End of week 2:
Pretty decent. Still the honeymoon period. Owner/my manager is chill.
Having money is also great.
Off to get some new headphones to replace the ones that I accidentally left out in the rain.
Enjoy your day :)

I think your subconscious might have remembered what it was supposed to sound like and orchestrated ruining the old ones for your benefit.
