I don't. The smile on my face should say anything that needs to be said and if not shrug. It can throw gasoline on smoldering jealousy or poor self-esteem and I'm not trying to treat people that way.
Is that a weird way of saying show them your appreciation of them? Brag has rather negative connotations, but the text message chain makes it seem kind of nice?
I tend to just be candid and say the things I like about them. Or just a simple “I love you.”
