It's definitely improved the vibe of .NZ noticeably.
It's less of an issue on bigger instances where they don't have such a numerical advantage.

I respect that, unfortunately these guys outnumber .nz many times over, and they just absolutely flood any discussion they show up in.

Understandable. They tried to do the same on SJW, but the local SJW users pushed back, which caused "anxiety" to Hexbear users lol
