I actually did read Thiel is trying to create what he calls an AI version of Jesus. The people in charge of these things are utterly insane and should be stripped of wealth and maybe questioned by an Inquisition or two.
He’s been going around giving speeches for a few years now about how anyone who tries to hinder the progress of AI is the antichrist.
The head of an AI company that is attempting to create a panopticon so complete it is capable of automating execution for thought crime is claiming the people against him are the antichrist.
The Daemon has many forms. You must know them all. You must tell the Daemon from his disguise and root him out from the hidden places. Trust no-one. trust not even yourself. It is better to die in vain than to live an abomination.
The zealous martyr is praised for his valour: the craven and the unready are justly abhorred.
Start denying Communion to people involved In the high level aspects of AI (CEOs, people lobbying for data centers, etc) and I’ll believe it’s more than words.
