I have a machine with a hundred gigabytes of RAM! 160ish GB to be slightly more specific. It’s only DDR3, but it’s in there! I’ll NEVER use a third of it hahaha
I knew one of them was the current one but since I haven't used them in a while I wasn't sure which one. Guess I guessed wrong. Thank you for your PSA.
I can think of nothing more hellish than taking a spreadsheet to bed with me.
The very thing that ruled my work day, and was the bane of my existence needs to stay the fuck out of the bedroom
Careful, don't let tech companies get hold of this, they'll find a way to connect it to the internet and make us pay a nightly subscription to use our own sheets.

I wouldn’t want that anywhere near my alarm clock. It might mess the dates and times up.

I think killing the guy who said you use Numbers would classify as justified. That's too far of an insult
brap@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 114d
I got so triggered I had a seizure so I won't be killing anyone today.

That's good... (The not killing part) On a completely unrelated note, I like your hat.

Weird Al's "hundred gigabytes of RAM" is still baller in 2026!

"Fuckton of obsolete RAM" gang represent!
(I've got a dual-Opteron home server with, I think, 256GB of DDR3.)

Is there an OpenOffice version of this? You might have a buyer here.
synapse1278@lemmy.world · 32 pts · 114d
OpenOffice has been dead for a decade. Please, forget it has ever existed and use LibreOffice instead. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
daggermoon@piefed.world · 4 pts · 114d
Or just use Microsoft Office 2003 in Wine.
StillAlive@piefed.world · 16 pts · 114d
Instructions unclear. Used Office 2003 on wine. Hic

You're supposed to drink the wine? I dunked the computer in wine.

When they said clean the motherboard with alcohol, I don't think that's what they meant.

Liquid cooling is meant to be contained in tubes, fittings, and resevoirs. You have to use mineral oil if you want an aquarium pc.

it's not dead, it's just very little maintained by apache the last release was november 2025
vaionko@sopuli.xyz · 2 pts · 114d
It hasn't got an update worth a 0.1 version number bump in over a decade, I'd consider it pretty dead.
TachyonTele@piefed.social · 3 pts · 113d
But does it work? Is there newly discovered math that openoffice hasnt updated with?
