Bruce makes sure there's no OSHA in the city where they manufacture their shit, both for profit, and for hobby.

Is it that slower than the top 8-cores from 2016?

8GB of RAM is also significantly more than the 2 or 3 a decade ago in top-of-the-line phones.

Anyways, I doubt use cases for these wound use much CPU, imho if it's at like a Raspberry 5 level it's usable (does it also not have a good GPU?), and I'm glad it's not built around ESP32.

With these specs the company needs to explain why they aren't offering more powerful options imo.

Market prices, and all the Qualcomm chips are pre-hogged (and closed sauce). Actually there might not be many more powerful mobile chips out there.

Literally libre hardware tax ;).

Other phone manufacturers get monies from phones other than the selling price (ad revenue, money from eg Facebook for preinstalling their app, revenue from their on-phone un-uninstallable stores, etc). Like printers or gaming consoles, the hardware is subsidised.

(And ofc scale, that's a huge hurdle on it's own.)

The price is kinda ok on this one.

Yes, this!
It's exactly what I do too (finger that button).

Ppl are angry at a tech bcs it works 90% of the time instead of 100.00% ... and rather use the alternative that they themselves bitch about how it doesn't work either.

Those are all high beams.

If they are pointed at a person that is against the law & a dick move by a person (regardless if it's a mechanical failure).

Brightness isn't bad, it's a safety feature.
(And countries do have a min/max brightness laws, measured a bit differently tho.)

There is also a failure of the greedy car industry - we have adaptive headlights (where you have your high beans beams dynamically shaded or separated to not shine on other cars specifically) for 30 years now but they remain optional extras (except on Chinese cars). And memes of cars shining in your face exist.
(USA only allowed this a few years back, that's why in the USA movies even cars promoted by that movie always used the base model ugly headlights.)

(This last low beam adaptive bit is from the 70s actually.)

The second failure is also legislative - all the places that don't have legislature setting the max height (positioning from the ground) of headlights have SUVs shining lights in ppls faces even when just using low beams.

As said, ppl are just dicks with high beams, low beams set too high, and using fog lamps all the time bcs it's 'sporty'.

(Lol, who is this everyone you keep mentioning? We are alone here, and both for our own amusement, otherwise why invest time?)

You keep projecting this '"winning" online & throwing tantrums is my whole personality' thing.

And feel free to stop mentioning kids underwear :).
