Edit: Found and read the article, this picture ain't there, all the more confused

Looks like an arrest where the cops let them cover their faces with empty binders so that reporters couldn't get pics of them being arrested. I believe they don't let anyone do this unless the perps are strongly connected with the authorities

EDIT

The website put the pic into the wrong article

Oh ok thank you. I was mega baffled. Figured it was like a connected story where the active ultrasound was "causing" complications, but was also like "why arrest folks doing a controlled study". Anywho thank you

Yeah I saw that this morning with pictures to the correct link posted directly below. I was well confused for a moment.

I think it's meant to be a picture of the near future, where abortion doctors might be arrested because the wearable sensor has detected an illegal abortion.

They'll be arresting pregnant people who don't have perfect pregnancies.

Ah yes, punishing women, as expected

NoSpotOfGround@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 105d

It's complicated.

Our future is endless AI trash.

When "pregnancy complications" becomes illegal under anti abortion laws

Danarchy@lemmy.nz · 1 pts · 105d

Reason for arrests: Wiring it into a repurposed insulin pump. First sign of complications?! Misoprostol. Bickity-bam!
