Where Have All The Good People Gone? - Sam Roberts Band (2003)

I'm actually a bit shocked -- I had no idea this song was 23 years old. Sam Roberts was born in Westmount, a city within Montreal, but legally not incorporated into it -- but certainly close to the downtown of it. I am equally shocked that Sam Roberts is, by all means, Montreal born and raised. All of his education has been in Montreal as well as his early music career. He is a fully fluent French speaker, and by all means seems quite invested in the Quebec community. I would NOT know that by listening to his music. I may have to give more of his music a listen to see if there was something I missed that would give away that cultural connection.
