This just sounds like regular browser fingerprinting, so it's not really about the VPN.

We already knew VPNs alone were not a full privacy setup.

NoScripts is a browser extension that reduces fingerprinting by blocking websites from running javascript code to extract that info from your device.

Glad they seem to be owning this and transparent about their plans to fix it. Mullvad seems to be outstanding and I'm not aware of any cases where they have been caught storing logs or revealing useful information for any subpoena.

Then what browser should one use? My PC runs librewolf for example

Edit:typo, etc.

I favor ironfox, which is easiest to find via fdroid. It's very similar to librewolf in goals and settings to enhance privacy

I second ironfox, its great. I would also reccomend fennec, which is essentially just debloated firefox. I use it for sites that ironfox breaks.

*debloated Ironfx? What elements/settings do U compare then?

ramasses@social.ozymandias.club · 4 pts · 64d

Sorry, my mistake, debloated firefox.

I really can't find any differences in performance or functionality other than those that cooks just as well be from the different platforms
