The face mask bit threw me off, I thought it was ominous but I guess is one of those skin care treatments that people use to scare their relatives and flatmates.

Did he stop at Blockbuster or something?

AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 77d (8 replies)

Thumb drive?

NineMileTower@sh.itjust.works · -1 pts · 77d (7 replies)

That's a "terminally online" thing to say. No one in the real world is out there putting movies on thumb drives.

AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 77d (2 replies)

That's literally how I have transferred files for more than two decades at this point. Once CDs and DVDs all but disappeared, I'm not sure of another way to bring a movie/show, that I can guarantee to get to work on their equipment.

NineMileTower@sh.itjust.works · -1 pts · 75d (1 reply)

You're an internet dork. There's people out there in the real world.

AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world · -1 pts · 75d

No, I just use all the tools available to me, except people like you.

Cort@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 77d

Most people aren't putting them on thumb drives, they're receiving them on thumb drives and being told to use VLC to play it. Though tv shows are more common than movies in my experience.

Here's me with about 20 on a thumb drive

NineMileTower@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 75d

You're on Lemmy. You aren't a real people. You are an internet people.

usrtrv@sh.itjust.works · 0 pts · 73d

Wouldn't terminally online people use streaming services? I'll enjoy my offline thumbdrive/media server 😉

I feel like the average person is terminally online (Instagram, tiktok, etc). What does that term even mean anymore?
