i plan to make this community in order to provide a space for leftists to congregate and discuss important political topics.
when i say “leftists” i mean real leftists, not tankies.

Tankie is too vague. Please define so that everyone knows what's allowed.
Is defending existing socialist/communist states being a tankie or does it require defending or erasing the horrors that those states have perpetuated required?
Edit: I'm neurodivergent and seriously need help with the term, not performing some sort of bullshit mind games crap.

This is a good definition of tankie "A Tankie is someone who defends/supports authoritarian or even totalitarian regimes who call themselves “socialist”. The term originated from people supporting the 1956 invasion of Hungary by the Soviet Union."

You said "i'm sorry about that" when I said I'm a Marxist-Leninist, but this is a "one-stop shop" for leftism. Marxism-Leninism works in Cuba, China, DPRK, Vietnam, Laos, but the prevailing leftist ideology isn't allowed in the leftist sub?

What is "works" in this sense, if you don't mind me asking? Like what are your expectations? What is your tolerance for suffering? I'm just curious. I know where I am (none of those places) has plenty of suffering as well. We moreso have the illusion of choice ftmp. I would like to understand why those examples you gave are your high watermark for governance.
