The exception and the rule

It looks like they updated the article, I am disappointed but the screenshot lives on. Why can't we have anything nice anymore

TIL that flamingo chicks raised by gay pairings have a higher survival rate than those raised by straight pairings.

That is the most flamboyant thing I think I'll read all month.

Thats cool! Not only that they adopt chicks (?) but that they're actually really good at it.

I read somewhere once that some species of alligator or crocodile has male-male sex at a ratio of 3:1 compared to male-female sex, but I cannot find the original source that I read this from.

I always think about this when I hear people claim that gay sex is "unnatural"

I think I recall hearing that snakes can't really determine the sex of other snakes. They just all pile on and hope for the best.

And don't get me started on ferns.

The people who say that gay sex is "unnatural", dont understand that the actual thing that is unnatural is homophobia. Many animals have homosexuality, but only people have homophobia.

First thing that came to mind:

They must have picked it up from the gay tourists.

Yeah, that's called being Bi, not being Gay!
