I got stung by one of these or perhaps an oak slug caterpillar around 2 years ago. There was immediate pain, which got worse and worse with pain coming in waves. It felt like the pain was coming from dozens of little needle points in my hand. Before long I had to go inside to sit down because it was getting hard to focus on anything other than the intense stinging feeling.
The only thing that might compare was when I got bitten by a wheel bug when I was a kid.
At first glance, I just assumed this was in Portland, and someone'd knitted it a li'l sweatervest 🥹🤗 Honestly, I clicked through to see how they got it into such a darling outfit 😜
