Wouldn't black moving bishop to E5 stop this? Why does it move the bishop elsewhere?

You’re right; in that case you also have to follow with Qd8… I guess I shouldn’t have tried to be so prescriptive about which of the possible second moves you take; just use whichever one of the two is an appropriate response.

OK, to be precise, there are two possible branches after the first move, but both lead to Checkmate after the next move.
I originally only listed the one for the choice the website actually makes, but I’ve updated my comment to include both branches.

Yeah, the interactive board is helpful for trying things out, but I also found that its problem is only showing one move and not if it was forced.
