Oh yes please yes please, every Catholic engineer go for it.
They are completely authorized to ask for this as a religious accommodation, and Catholics in particular have gotten all kinds of shit this way in the past.

Legit hilarious. Calls to mind that time where Sweden classified homosexuality as a mental illness, which spurred thousands of Swedes to call in gay to work.
